ColorTrap. is a small independent design and production studio that I started in the summer of 2019 in Amman, Jordan. In ColorTrap. we desire to experiment with different designs and materials, taking the environment and sustainability into account. ColorTrap releases new limited-edition pieces throughout the year.
Colortrap was born out of a desire to experiment creatively with materials, textures, colors, and designs with the sole intention of enjoying and exploring. In the Summer of 2019, I first started experimenting with materials that I have never worked with before: Cement and pigments. The challenging part was to bring this rigid, raw material to life with softer and more delicate characteristics. I finally succeeded after hundreds of trials and tests.
